SERVICES & HOW I WORK FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILD

Our partnership is created with you in mind.  How much SEAS NH is involved is up to you. Working together starts with a phone call or an email.  During that time, I will ask questions to learn more about your child, what concerns you have and how I can help.  It’s also helpful for you to tell me what is working well and to share your child’s strengths.

Services available to assist you in the pursuit of educationally appropriate services for your child include:

  • Guide through identification process
  • Review progress reports
  • Review independent evaluations
  • Review evaluations performed by school
  • Review current/proposed IEPs
  • Review current/proposed Section 504 plans
  • Review Written Prior Notice and other team meeting notes
  • Attend IEP and 504 meetings with you
  • Assist in development of IEP and Section 504
  • Review IEP goals
  • Provide input to obtain measurable goals
  • Advise of legal rights (please note Sue is not an attorney and therefore unable to give legal advice)

HELP WITH IDENTIFICATION

Has your child just been diagnosed with a disability?  Has your child’s been referred for special education? We can help you during this confusing time by ensuring your child is evaluated in a timely manner.  Do you know how long the school district has to conduct evaluations and dispose of a referral? Let SEAS NH help!

IEP TEAM MEETINGS

Have you ever sat at a team meeting feeling confused and frustrated?  Are you unsure what a Written Prior Notice is or what it does? Do you know how often the team should meet?  Do you want to have someone on your side at team meetings? Let SEAS NH help!

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION

Using knowledge of IDEA and ESSA we will work tirelessly on your behalf to create an environment which breeds positive results for your child. This is accomplished through respectful, cooperative communications with schools, clinicians, doctors, attorneys, etc.

Report & Data Analysis

In order to determine if your child’s IEP is effective or where your child’s performance falls in relation to his/her peers, analysis of graphs, testing and evaluations are necessary. SEAS NH is ready to analyze the results with you and break them into meaningful terms.
